Honeywell’s high-fidelity OTS targets corporate and high-end value buyers who need first-principles dynamics for realism during training for new plant commissioning or on-going learning. Other uses cases across a plant’s lifecycle include controls checkout and DCS validation, where a high-fidelity OTS is too costly or overkill for simpler applications. Honeywell has no lower-tiered, value-centric offering for the customer who either doesn’t have steep training requirements or needs a quick and easy to use tool to perform the aforementioned actions. Lower-cost, lower fidelity offerings such as Emerson’s Mimic and Cape’s VP Link are taking market share in these segments that could be served by a full lifecycle solution.

Honeywell Flex Fidelity: A powerful, automated tool that enables users to dynamically model process responses with a minimum amount of effort for deployment and maintenance. The same functionality can be used to test and verify design concepts, control and safety logic also the same process response model can be used for operator training purposes.
